Museum of Free Derry

Derry, Northern Ireland

This mural, painted on a tin structure outside the Museum of Free Derry, reflects a name coined by activist John Casey. "Free Derry" was popularized in 1969 when Casey painted the slogan, "You are now entering Free Derry," on a gable wall.
